It has come to our attention that scammers and fraudulent actors are impersonating PetroChina and its employees, publishing false investment and marketing information, on social media, fake websites, mobile apps, fraudulent emails, SMS, WhatsApp, WeChat, phone calls, etc. As such, we would like to alert the public with the following:

You should exercise caution if you have received any unexpected or unusual communication that purports to be PetroChina or PetroChina employee.

The fraudulent communications often involve fake websites, web application or the download of mobile apps. Leading customers to access these applications to input personal data, often display with a fake employee identity card, to solicit payment for refueling cards. We are concerned about the above incidents and have reported it to the police. Our company reserves the right to take legal action against all parties involved.
